Logistical Details For Your BUMPS FOR BOOMERS ® Clinic

Meeting Location: All BUMPS FOR BOOMERS ® clinics are held on Aspen Mountain which is located in downtown Aspen. We meet in the plaza level (street level) Gondola ticket office lobby which is to the immediate right of the stairs that go up from the plaza level to the gondola loading area. Look for us to be either gathered around the leather chairs just inside the entrance doors of the lobby (on a cold morning) or immediately outside the doors in front of the lobby (if it is not too cold). We will be in ski school uniforms (red jacket, light grey pants) with name badges.

Meeting Time: Clinic participants meet at 9:00 a.m. Please plan to arrive on time so we can adjust ski bindings and have all clinic participants skiing as soon as possible.

Skiing Time: We will head up the mountain as soon as we have completed all administrative matters and we will ski until approximately 3:00 p.m. We will have a quick lunch break around mid-day.

Equipment: Clinic participants train on skiboards on day one and day two. We provide the skiboards. Participants just need to bring their ski boots and ski poles.

3 day clinics differ from 2 day clinics in that they provide a coached transition of all techniques learned back to traditional length skis on day 3. Participants need to provide traditional length skis for day three ... either by using their own skis or renting skis locally.

During your BUMPS FOR BOOMERS clinic you will most likely discover the benefits of skiing a shorter ski and we will suggest an optimum ski length for you on day three. Note: as a point of reference, the fastest FIS women slalom ski racers on the planet are currently using 155cm length skis for slalom. Men are using 157cm.

Lift Tickets: Lift tickets are not included in the clinic pricing. If you ordered BUMPS FOR BOOMERS discount lift tickets we will provide them to you on day 1.

Hotel Accommodations: BUMPS FOR BOOMERS clinics and private lessons are conducted on Aspen Mountain. Consequently, it will be most convenient to book lodging in the town of Aspen.

Note that we recommend Aspen Central Reservations ( 800-456-0897 ) as the best and most knowledgable source to book both your lodging and flights.

Note that if your accomodations are in Snowmass there is free daytime bus service from the Snowmass Mall to Aspen but you should allocate a minimum of 30 minutes for transportation time.
