Bad Hand Position Can Result In Very Sore Quads

Here is a ski lesson tip that will help improve your balance. In order to maintain a centered stance and good balance when skiing, it is important to keep your hands up, forward and quiet (with minimal movement).

If you drop your hands down near your hips it will cause you to sit back and ski in the "back seat". That will produce two negative effects. First, you will not be centered over your base of support (your feet). Second, your quads will get very sore because you will be using your muscles to hold yourself upright rather than than your skeleton bone structure.
